Many Thanks - A Work In Progress
My Mom took this picture of me with my Chemistry book, an extra credit
assignment for the chemistry class I was taking, (a picture of yourself
over spring break with your chemistry book). The photo on the front was
of the Thinker, my favorite sculpture in front of the Detroit Institute of
Art. I'm not sure my Professor appreciated it as much as I enjoyed being
in that space and time. I grew up visiting this museum and The Thinker
represents my father, my family Sundays and a love of art that was
encouraged and supported. I became a teacher to do the same for others.
I would like to thank the following people, and those of you who make it through this list!
Please remember how many people it takes to support an artist - please support those artists
around you, give them $10 when they need it, buy art even when you can't afford it, but
most importantly understand how important you are to them:
